March newsletter
Hello friends and family
I hope you’re all doing well! I know I am enjoying the change of seasons here in Marseille as there is evidence of Spring all around and I am definitely happy to welcome the warmer weather. Along with the Spring atmosphere, I am expectant for new life and new growth in our church as well.
Discipleship
A significant part of what I do is discipleship and mentoring - walking with people and helping them establish solid foundations in their walk with God, seeing them live out their purpose and consistently pointing them to Jesus along the way. This is one of our amazing young leaders, Christina. Meeting up with her and going for walks along the beach as we talk about faith and God is definitely a highlight of my week!
This past month I have tried to be more intentional in the time I spend investing in some of the younger women in our church. Everyone is in a unique place in their walk with God - for some it is working through Biblical foundations, for others it is navigating storms and pressures, and for some it is dreaming and praying with them for next steps as they trust God for clarity about the ministry He is calling them to.
Sermon preparation
Our preaching team recently spent time in prayer and preparation, planning our preaching material for the next few months. I will be starting our new series next Sunday called Victorious, about our identity in Christ. Please pray that this series will be a good foundation for our up-and-coming Freedom Day, and that people will sign up for this event which is an amazing opportunity to experience freedom from the things that hold us back from all that God has for us!
Change the campus, change the world
Earlier this month a group of young people from our church went to London for the Every Nation Europe Campus Conference, where they got to join with students and student leaders from all over Europe. Have a look at the recap video to see why we believe in investing so much in the next generation! Although I wasn’t at this event, some of the girls I am mentoring went and said it impacted them significantly.
I will have the opportunity over the Summer to minister and serve at the Every Nation Campus Leaders camp where student leaders from across Europe come to Marseille for a week of ministry and fun - my heart is definitely to get more involved in campus ministry in the future once I have raised all my ministry support.
Thank you
Thank you all so much for your continued giving and support. Your partnership in the gospel is such a blessing to me. I pray for you all regularly, so please let me know if there are any specific prayer needs you have - it would be my privilege to trust God with you.
Please also continue to pray for more ministry partners for me. I have seen God provide in amazing ways this past month but I do continue to trust Him for more monthly partners.
Sending much love, and a very happy Easter to all of you,
Fiona
