February newsletter
Hello friends and family
I hope you all had a great January, although I do know how busy the beginning of the year can be… I am so expectant for everything God wants to do in and through our lives this year, so I pray for great grace to empower us to do what He’s called us to do.
Evangelism Training
A few weeks ago we had an evangelism training day where I taught one of the sessions on how to present the Gospel - you can see the 4 points in the photo (God loves me, I have sinned, Jesus died for me, I need to decide to live for God). The idea is to make it as simple as possible to share that even our children can share the Gospel with their friends. After the training we went out to put our training into practice! Since that day we have had a group meet regularly on Saturdays for street evangelism, specifically targeting students and young people. There have been some really great connections and conversations. Please pray for wisdom on how to better connect with students and have more opportunities to share the Gospel with them - its not always easy to access campuses, so we are trusting God for creative ways to reach students.
The Reliability of the Bible
This last Sunday I had the privilege to preach at both of our Sunday services on the reliability of the Bible - we are busy with an apologetics series which pushes me out my comfort zone, especially doing a topic like this in French. If you’d like to check that out you can watch it here.
We are trusting not only to reach more people by not being afraid to talk about difficult topics, but also to equip the church with the tools needed to have these conversations. One cool story from Sunday is my friend, Geneviève, played the recording of the sermon to her 89 year old atheist mom in the car as they were driving somewhere. (Her mom refuses to come to church). She said she was impressed with my French haha! Praying the message plants some seeds and pushes her closer to God’s heart and His goodness. We are trusting for her salvation!
Training new leaders
As quite a few new people have been added to the church, I will be more intentionally investing time in new and potential leaders, taking them through some of our discipleship resources and hopefully giving them the confidence to take others through these resources themselves. Here you can see some of our growing worship team with some of these new leaders.
Thank you for your ongoing support- both financial and prayer. I am beyond grateful for each of you and the partnership we share. We are making a difference and I pray we will have an even greater impact in the months and years ahead. Please continue to trust with me for more ministry partners so I can reach my financial goal soon. I will continue to do ministry while raising the rest of my support.
Let me know how I can pray for you!
Sending all love,
Fiona
