God’s miraculous provision in this season
Hello from Marseille, France!
This letter is a little late but I wanted to give you all a quick update - the last letter I sent was from South Africa but I flew back to Marseille on the 9th October because God supernaturally opened up a new place for me to live!
A flat opens up!
I am so thankful - it really is God’s miraculous provision for me in this season. One of my French partners heard about a flat that was opening up in her residence - she went to speak to the owners and explained my situation to them. Usually, French property owners are very hesitant to rent out apartments to foreigners who cannot prove a fixed income in France, but I was given a rental agreement without any problem, and didn’t even have to pay a deposit which is highly unusual! I was also able to suggest that one of our campus missionaries, Jordan, who had been struggling to find a place to live for months, move in with me - and the owners agreed without any problems. So, this is financially advantageous for both of us, and is definitely an improvement on the last apartment I had in Marseille!
Every Nation World Conference
Team France at World Conference
Just before I left South Africa I had the privilege of attending our Every Nation World Conference in Cape Town. Every 3 years, our Every Nation global family of churches meets together for a time of connection, celebration and encouragement. It is always special to be part of a family meeting like this - this year we had 71 nations represented - 5800 adults and almost 600 children. What an amazing time of worship and celebrating what God is doing in the nations. It was so great to re-connect with people I have not seen in years. My favourite part of the conference was hearing the testimonies from all around the world, including persecuted nations, igniting my faith and increasing my hope for this nation of France, and all of Europe, who so desperately needs the good news of Jesus.
Partnership progress
I am still trusting God to reach 100% of my partnership goal - so please pray and trust with me to be able to do that from Marseille as I meet with people online to share the vision and heart of what we are doing. Also please continue praying for our church - after 18 months of administrative red tape, this week we were finally able to get the signature we need to move forward with purchasing the building we are in! This is a huge step forward in providing a stable presence where we can continue to reach out to students and our community at large.
Thank you so much to all of you who have partnered financially and in prayer - it is such a joy to be on mission with all of you here in France. Please let me know how I can be praying for you specifically.
