February news
Hi everyone
Where do I start? It feels like it’s been a whirlwind start to 2025, with lots of exciting things happening, as well as many challenges.
Sofia update
In my last letter I asked for prayer for Sofia, our pastor’s daughter who is currently undergoing a heavy dose of chemotherapy. She is doing great despite the challenges- she is currently half-way through her treatment, and we are full of faith that God is setting us all up for some significant breakthrough. Not only healing for Sofia, but also for Matt who has been suffering some severe vertigo attacks during all of this,. We are also trusting for breakthrough in our city for salvation, miracles and for people to experience the love and goodness of God.
A group of us surprised Sofia (centre) at the hospital before she started her chemo. Pray for this amazing young woman for continued strength, great grace and complete healing.
Prayer and Discipleship
We have been increasing our prayer on all fronts as we sense God stirring the waters of revival in France, and across Europe - praying intentionally for young people, for the harvest, and for strong disciples to disciple others. We have been working towards a Discipleship Day that we are launching in the beginning of April - specifically designed to practically help leaders with the tools and skills needed to disciple the harvest that we are praying for.
Preaching
At the end of January I had the privilege of preaching as a part of our series on The Cross that all our Every Nation churches across the globe do together. I preached a message on Mary Magdalene if you’d like to check it out here:
This is Christina preaching a powerful message to end this series on The Cross.
So proud of this young woman who I have been mentoring for a while now.
Later this month I will be preaching a message on Hope as a part of our series on Jeremiah which we started off this week.
Worship Trainings
Two weeks ago I had the opportunity to attend a worship training with Dan Luiten, one of France’s top worship leaders. I was able to take 3 people from our worship team with me who are in training as worship leaders. It was challenging for me to do all the technical stuff in French, but it was so good for our team. I will be running a worship training with our team this coming Saturday so I would appreciate prayers for that! We are a small team but trusting God for growth in all areas.
A bit of fun we had the other night at a Worship and Prayer night :) really trusting God for an army of young French people on fire for Jesus here in Marseille!
Other ministry
Aside from the usual weekly discipleship and mentoring, our small groups have been going so well! Our group recently got too big so we had to create 2 groups - a good problem to have! I’ve really been enjoying this ministry space as God has been taking us deeper in conversation around His Word and praying for each other. I love seeing people step into this safe space, ready to listen and serve one another. It’s possibly my favourite time of the week!
Trip to Prague
At the end of the month I will be traveling to Prague, Czech Republic, for our Every Nation Europe Build Conference - really looking forward to meeting with our churches across Europe for this time of input, sharing and “building together”. Some of our students and young people will be going to Prague for the ENC campus conference over the weekend and we are trusting God for a high-impact weekend that will have ripple effects on our campuses all across Europe.
Thank You
Thank you so much for your ongoing support. Your partnership is making all the difference and I could not do what I am doing without you.
Praying for you and sending lots of love,
Fiona
