July newsletter
Hi friends and family
Time for an update on what has been happening over the month of July!
As things start to quieten down for our Summer break, I am thankful for a time to reflect back on God’s faithfulness, but also look forward to what God has for us at the start of our next year. For my Southern Hemisphere friends, the cycle here goes from September to June/July, so we are wrapping things up and planning ahead for September, where things get busy again!
Discipleship is relationship
This is Julie, one of the young ladies I am mentoring. We meet weekly to pray together and work through some of our Biblical foundations material. She is also very hungry to grow in leadership development and I will be training her in how to lead a Bible study small group soon. With her permission, I am asking for prayer for her and her young son, Nathan, who is 2 years old. They are navigating a pretty stormy season as Julie is recently separated from her husband, who is not a Christian. We are still praying and trusting for him to have an encounter with Jesus and surrender his life to Him. Please pray for them! For God’s grace, His wisdom, protection and provision in this season.
Student Leaders Camp recap
Last month I told you about the ENC Student Leaders’ camp we had recently. This is a short, fun recap video if you’re interested to see a little overview of the week: https://www.instagram.com/reel/C9-qKpOop_j/?igsh=dGN6cHNpZ29kaXpr
Please keep our campus ministers and students in your prayers as they continue to reach out on their various university campuses.
Preaching
We have just finished a series on 1 Timothy which has been quite a different feel from our usual sermons and has sparked many interesting discussions! Keeping God’s Word front and centre of everything we do is critical, which is why we have been intentional about creating small group discussions based on Scripture.
'For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 'Hebrews 4:12
If you understand French, I preached on 1 Timothy 4: Salvation is a gift, but godliness is a pursuit which you wan watch here:
Thank you!
Thank you so much for your continued support, both financially and in prayer.
I am so blessed to be able to do what I do full-time because of your partnership.
I am praying for you - that as you have been so generous in your giving, that God would surprise you with His generous provision and goodness in every area! Please let me know if there is anything specific I can pray for.
This comes with much love,
Fiona
